Danny: I have trust and belief in my squad

Rohl said this week: “For me it’s more important that we have a strong performance on our side. It makes no sense to look too much to the results on Saturday, you never know what can happen in football and for me, the focus is on Sunday and that we are ready for this battle.

“We must be ready for this fight, I think our fans are ready as we have seen with the tickets, it is fantastic to see and now it is our job during the week to be prepared.”

Wednesday will be backed by a sellout 7,000 support and Rohl added: “I have given a clear message to my team that I have no doubt they can do this, the belief and trust in my team is big, it’s really big.

“It is important that we stay in our match plan, that we are tactically strong and we bring the right attitude into this game.

“We go step by step, game by game, each game is the next final for us, a lot of people say the next game is important and the next one is really important. I know that every game is important.

“My group are ready, we have trained well, I feel a good energy, everybody wants to show, everybody wants to play and we will go into the match on Sunday with this spirit.

“We know it will be another special atmosphere in the stadium from our side.”

Di’Shon Bernard and Ian Poveda are still recovering from injury and Rohl is likely to have an unchanged squad from those who faced Stoke last Saturday.

Of the relegation-threatened sides playing on Saturday, Huddersfield are at home to Swansea, Birmingham travel to doomed Rotherham, Stoke entertain Plymouth, Millwall are at Sunderland and QPR host Preston.
