Cracking goals in each half lifted Wednesday out of the bottom three in a 2-0 win over Charlton today.
Rhys McCabe fired the Owls ahead in the first half with a tremendous volley from the edge of the box and loanee Jeremy Helan sealed the much-needed points with a last-minute solo effort.
In a game of few clear-cut chances, we survived early Charlton pressure and a nervy closing spell before Helan’s late effort made sure of the points.
Dave Jones said: “It was another hard-fought win. Now we need to continue winning games and drag other teams, not just those immediately around us, into the relegation area.”
