Carlos Carvalhal was left fuming after seeing Wednesday denied a second-half penalty against Hull.
The Owls head coach was sent to the stands for his protests when ref Mike Jones waved away penalty appeals after Michael Dawson appeared to block an Adam Reach effort with his arm.
The teams were locked at 1-1 at the time and TV replays later indicated the ball might have hit Dawson’s body, but Carvalhal said soon after the final whistle: “There was an unbelievable penalty, the defender acted like a goalkeeper, it is very clear. I am very upset because everything comes to me.
“With these kind of decisions, it’s not just about the points. The fans are not happy with the score, we are not happy, the players are frustrated.”
Reflecting on the game, Carvalhal said: “We changed the way we play at half time, with the three second-half substitutes having a big impact on the game.
“We pushed and pushed. we got the equaliser and then got what I thought was going to be the winning goal.”
