Wednesday have been quick to respond to reports that Derby have made a £7m bid for Fernando Forestieri.
Carlos Carvalhal said of the story: “I don’t know but Sheffield Wednesday is not selling any player. This is clear.
“The chairman was very clear that he won’t sell any players. We are buying not selling players.”
Forestieri has previously said that he would be happy to spend the rest of his career at Hillsborough and Carvalhal added: “What I know is Fernando is happy at the club.”
Meanwhile, Aston Villa defender Joe Bennett is said to be on the verge of completing a transfer to Wednesday in a three-year deal, having had a spell on loan at S6 last season.
And keeper Cameron Dawson has joined Wycombe Wanderers on a seven-day emergency loan, playing for them in their 1-0 EFL Cup defeat to Bristol City on Tuesday night.
