Carlos Carvalhal is looking forward to a swift return to Hillsborough when his Swansea side face Wednesday in the FA Cup fifth round on February 17.
After seeing the Swans thrash Notts County 8-1 in their fourth round replay on Tuesday evening, Carvalhal said: “I feel it will be like going back home.
“It was my home for two and a half years and I was very happy there.
“I will enjoy a lot to go back to Hillsborough soon. I am an Owl forever.”
After leaving Wednesday by mutual consent on Christmas Eve, Carvalhal hopes for a warm welcome from the supporters, saying: “The majority of fans received me very well, the minority will be emotional.
“The majority think more deeply, and put emotions on the side, they know what we did in the club. We gave everything to the club. Even the most critical know we loved Wednesday.
“I was not sacked. I talked with the chairman. I have a very good relationship with him.”
The tie will be televised live on BT Sport, kick off 12.30pm.
