Danny Rohl was rightly proud of Wednesday’s performance despite the 3-0 scoreline that was undoubtedly flattering to Leeds at Elland Road today.
We matched the home side for much of the game and the boss said afterwards: “All in all, I am proud of my team and the performance we gave at the home of the team that I believe is the best in the Championship.
“Three-nil wasn’t the full picture today.
“Between 1-0 and 2-0, we showed a proper fight against Leeds. We had some good phases in the game where we dominated at times, particularly in the first half.
“Just before their second goal, we had a big chance from a corner. If we had someone on the second post like we normally do then we might have equalised.
“They were clinical, they took their chances and although we had our moments with very good transitions, we could not find a way through.
“But big credit to my team in how we came back from the early goal conceded. We always felt we were in the game and what I liked was that we were brave with the ball and tried to play football.”

“It’s hard to take but we played in best team in the league and this is the diff between us and them.
