Wednesday have lost out on Reading striker Nick Blackman after he today signed for Championship rivals Derby.
We had agreed a fee with Reading for the player but, as expected, he preferred to make the switch to the Rams.
We also now wait to see if Wednesday go back in for Brentford’s attacking midfielder Alan Judge, after having an initial bid – thought to have been around £1m – rejected by the Bees.
