Di’Shon Bernard is expected to return to the Wednesday squad for the New Year’s Day home clash with Derby, following his two-match ban.
However, his defensive team-mate Dominic Iorfa could be a doubt after picking up an injury at Preston on Sunday.
Danny Rohl saw his side concede six goals in two away games over the Christmas period and said after the Preston defeat: “We need clean sheets. In two games we conceded six goals. It is too much, too much to win games, especially away.
“We scored four goals away from home and got no win. This is what we have to improve immediately, clean sheets.”
The loss at Deepdale saw us drop two places to 11th in the Championship table and we will be looking to bounce back by completing a quickfire double over Derby after our last-gasp 2-1 win at Pride Park earlier this month.
