Barry Bannan says Hillsborough is “not a great place to be at the minute” as Wednesday prepare to return to pre-season training on Friday.
With the club preparing for life in division one, captain Bannan told BBC Scotland this morning: “It’s a bit up in the air at the moment. There are a lot of people leaving behind the scenes so it’s not a great place to be at the minute.
“But once I get back in on Friday and have talks then I will find out what I’m going to be doing next season.”
Reflecting on last season’s relegation and his own future, Bannan, who signed a new two-year deal towards the end of last season, said: “Getting relegated is never great at any part of your career, especially when you’re a bit older.
“I’ve got two years left on my contract and I’ll see what happens.”
