Antonio is crowned London Owls Player of the Year

Michail Antonio has been voted the London Owls Player of the Year.

Two other summer signings – Chris Kirkland and skipper Anthony Gardner – were close behind in second and third respectively, with Reda Johnson in fourth place.

Antonio joined us permanently from Reading in the summer after a successful loan spell during the promotion season, initially under Gary Megson.

He successfully stepped back up from division one to the Championship and was a key player in our upsurge in form since December, before being ruled out for the rest of the season after sustaining a groin injury in the home game with Cardiff last month.

We hope to present the award at the final home game of the season against Middlesbrough. Any member who has not previously made the presentation and would like to be considered should contact Paul Woolfson as soon as possible – paul_woolfson@yahoo.co.uk
