Westwood keeps clean sheet against England

Keiren Westwood flew the Wednesday flag on the international scene today … being selected as Republic of Ireland keeper to face England in the friendly in Dublin.

Westwood played for the first hour of the game, keeping a clean sheet during that time, and teaming up with our ex-midfielder Glenn Whelan.

There was a further club connection to the game with a pre-match presentation to legendary former Owls manager Jack Charlton, saluting his roles as a World Cup winner for England and as a highly successful boss of the Republic.
