Jos Luhukay reflected on a lack of belief and confidence in the team after Wednesday slumped to a fifth successive defeat, this time against Ipswich on Tuesday evening.
The manager said: “Over 90 minutes we have a team showing they do not have belief in themselves and not the confidence to play offensively and create chances.
“We only had two or three chances, from one of these Lucas scored in a one-on-one but it was not enough to make a result.”
Looking ahead to the home game with Bolton on Saturday, he added: “Saturday is another chance for us.
“There is only way and that is to stay together and have belief.
“We must have trust in each other and confidence. Tonight, I think we needed more of that trust and more confidence.”
