Garry Monk felt Wednesday were well worth the draw after Atdhe Nuhiu’s last-gasp headed equaliser against Fulham.
Monk, who has seen us take four points out of six since taking charge, said: “I was very pleased. I think we deserved at least a point for the way we went about it.”
He said he felt the only time we were unbalanced in the first half was for the Fulham goal and added: “The way we came out in the second half, we were much more on the front foot and in the end we got a well-deserved goal.”
Monk said his half-time team talk highlighted the need to get the midfielders further up the field to support Stephen Fletcher and the players responded accordingly.
He added that the fans want to see character from the players and they would particularly have enjoyed the second half while, responding to the reception he received from supporters before the start, the manager said: “It was brilliant. I have had so much good will from people.”
