London Owl Paul Woolfson will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge later this month in aid of the St Luke’s Hospice in Sheffield and there is still time to sponsor him … or to join Paul on the day.
Paul is well-known to all London Owls and his sterling work has helped our club to develop so well over the years.
Now he will be representing himself – and the London Owls – in this challenge on Saturday May 20 with the plan being to walk 24 miles in 12 hours across rocky terrain, uneven surfaces and more than 5000 feet of steep climbs, while enjoying plenty of breathtaking scenery along the way.
This is all with the aim of raising money for the St Luke’s Hospice, which provides pallative care for those suffering with terminal illnesses, as well as a much-needed support system for their families, and for the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme.
Representatives of Wednesday and St Luke’s have also signed up for the challenge and if anyone is interested in accompanying Paul, there is still time to register. All you need to do is pay a £30 registration fee and raise a minimum of £270 sponsorship … Paul can give you further details.
You can also sponsor Paul. All donations will be very gratefully received and the link to his fundraising page is http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/PaulWoolfson
So come on London Owls, let’s support Paul in his tremendous effort and, if you can join him on the day, then that would be great as well.
