New striker Sergiu Bus says he’s looking forward to helping Wednesday launch a challenge for promotion to the Premier League.
The young Romanian forward, who joined us from Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia, said today: “The Premier League is the top level to play at. I think this year it will be hard for us to go up but I hope next season we can attack the Championship to get into the Premier League.”
Bus said he heard abut Wednesday’s interest in him early in the New Year and that it has been his dream to come to play in England.
He added: “It’s a big honour for me to play for this club.”
Bus has not played a competitive game since December because of the mid-season break in Bulgaria and is aware of the more competitive nature of the Championship when compared to playing for CSKA. Looking towards making his Wednesday debut, he said: “Physically I don’t know if I am 100 per cent ready but if the manager wants to put me in then I will do my best.”
