Semedo, who has been outstanding in recent weeks, had to pull out of Saturday’s game at Reading on the morning of the match as he was struggling with a toe infection.
Stuart Gray is hoping he can resume training tomorrow, ahead of the Bluebirds clash.
Meanwhile, fellow Portuguese midfielder Melo Silva has had to fly home to deal wth a personal matter following his late deadline day signing, but he should be back for training tomorrow.
