Brazilian Adriano Basso has been named new first team goalkeeper coach at Hillsborough.
He takes over from Nicky Weaver, who will assume the same role with the academy, overseeing the under-23s.
Basso has held coaching roles with Hartlepool, Nuneaton, Grantham, Bury and Barnsley and has played for clubs including Woking, Hull and Bristol City since moving to England.
He said: “I’m very delighted and very happy to have the opportunity to come here. It’s a great club, with great staff and great people.
“To come to such a big club is important and so is the challenge and the opportunity to succeed.”
