Milan Mandaric reiterated his pledge to help get the Owls back to the Premier League as thousands of fans celebrated our promotion at a civic reception on Wednesday evening.
With the supporters saluting the team in the pouring rain at Sheffield Town Hall, chairman Mandaric said: “This club has got to go to only one place – and that is the Premier League.
“I promise the people that I will do everything I can to influence that -whether it is one, two or three years, we will do it.”
Dave Jones got a great cheer from the Wednesdayites as he told them: “This city is yours.”
Skipper Rob Jones said: “Five weeks ago not many people gave us hope of getting there. But we kept going, kept our mouths shut and we got our reward.”
