Manager Jos Luhukay said he saw an improved Wednesday display against Hull on Saturday after the opening day defeat at Wigan.
Speaking after the 1-1 draw with the Tigers, Luhukay said: “We were better in both directions today. But am I happy, no, because a manager cannot be happy when you do not win the game.”
He added: “But I am not angry or disappointed with my players because I think we did a good game.”
Luhukay said Wednesday had the chances to win the match but had praise for Steven Fletcher’s performance – despite the returning striker failing to convert three clear chances.
