Stuart Gray has revealed Wednesday narrowly missed out on another signing – a winger – on transfer deadline day.
And the head coach said he could still bring in a wideman when the emergency loan window opens again next week.
Gray said: “I want us to get quality balls in the box and we have been trying to get a winger in.”
He said he feels the team have been missing Royston Drenthe since his loan spell ended early and added: “We thought we had a winger over the line last night but unfortunately he decided to stay at his club and fight for his place.
“However, we’ll keep looking once the emergency loan window opens. We’re always looking to improve and bring good players to the football club.”
