Stuart Gray faces a big week for the team – and possibly for his future at Hillsborough – as we prepare for two home games in four days.
Saturday’s 1-0 win at Watford signalled two victories in three games for Gray as caretaker boss and if the team gets at least four points from the visits of Wigan on Wednesday and then Bournemouth on Saturday, Milan Mandaric will be tempted to offer him the job on a full-time basis.
Reflecting on the Watford win, Gray said: “I hope no one up and down the country looks at that as a smash and grab because it wasn’t, I thought we were good value for the win.
“We ran our feet into the ground and everyone worked their socks off. That’s the least you can ask and I’m pleased for every one of them.”
