Stuart Gray has been added to Milan Mandaric’s shortlist for the Wednesday manager’s job.
Gray, who took charge of the team for Tuesday’s win over Leicester, said yesterday that he hoped he had done enough to get onto the list and the charman confirmed today that he is now amongst the candidates.
Mandaric said: “Stuart is now on the shortlist. He deserves it, he is a good coach, a good man. He cares for the club and the team and I think he has a lot of approval by our supporters as well.”
If Wednesday were to get a win against Forest then the possibility of Gray being offered the job – at least untl the end of the season – would strengthen but Mandaric said it was now time to concentrate on tomorrow’s game and that he would update fans on the situation after the weekend.
