Darren says ‘It’s a new era for the football club’

Darren Moore spoke of building a new era at the football club as thousands of Wednesday fans saluted the manager and his players on a victory parade in the city centre last night.

Josh Windass clinched our return to the Championship with a dramatic 123rd minute winner in the play-off final against Barnsley at Wembley on Monday afternoon and Moore said during the open top bus celebrations: “This day is for the supporters and for Sheffield Wednesday.

“But I also want this time to be a significant change for the football club, with the glass definitely half-full rather than half-empty.

“Now it’s a new era for the football club, we want it to go forward. It’s about us all coming together as one as a club and being together and through it all we will keep moving this club forward.

“Everyone has got their part to play, today it is good that everyone is out here enjoying the success and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
