The emergency central defensive pairing of Miguel Llera and Lewis Buxton is expected to continue at Forest tomorrow night.
The partnership came together when first choice centre backs Glenn Loovens and Oguchi Onyewu both suffered injury during Friday night’s defeat at Leicester and, with the two players ruled out for the trip to Nottingham, Llera and Buxton are likely to extend their pairing.
Loovens is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks with a hamstring injury, with Onyewu ruled out for up to a fortnight with a back problem.
Loanee defender Adedeji Oshilaja would have been another possibility for the Forest game but he has a thigh strain while Sam Hutchinson is almost certainly out because of illness.
Liam Palmer is set to continue as the right-back deputy for Buxton after switching to the postion during the Leicester match, with Giles Coke the most likely replacement in midfield.
