Sam Winnall has completed his move to Wednesday and could be in the squad for Saturday’s home clash with Huddersfield.
Striker Winnall, 25, joins on a three-and-a-half year deal from Barnsley for an undisclosed sum, although a fee of £500,000 has been quoted in some reports.
Winnall’s Oakwell team-mate, midfielder Conor Hourihane, is also being linked with a switch to Hillsborough in the January transfer window.
