David Stockdale has become Wednesday’s second signing of the close season.
Keeper Stockdale, 36, will officially join us on July 1 after his contract at Wycombe runs out at the end of this month.
Last season proved to be a standout one for the much-travelled Stockdale as he saved the most shots in division one and had the highest number of clean sheets.
The keeper has made more than 400 senior appearances in a career which began at Huddersfield and has since seen him play at clubs including York, Fulham, Leicester, Hull, Brighton, Birmingham … and Wycombe.
Meanwhile, young midfielder Liam Waldock has left Wednesday to join Northern Premier League side Gainsborough Trinity after having a spell on loan with them last season.
