Wednesday are in talks with Wolves about extending Roger Johnson’s loan spell at S6.
Johnson’s current time at Hillsborough runs out at the end of the month but caretaker boss Stuart Gray will be keen to get an extension to that arrangement if Wolves are happy to do so.
Similarly, Gray will be hoping to secure a loan extension for Connor Wickham, who has proved invaluable up front since his time at the club. However, his future is less certain with new Sunderland boss Gus Poyet likely to want to run the rule over the striker before deciding whether he wants him back at the Stadium of Light or is happy to loan him out again … either to Wednesday or elsewhere.
