Wednesday are waiting to find out the extent of Jose Semedo’s injury after he was stretchered off during the second half against Wigan on Tuesday night.
Semedo was injured on 64 minutes as he turned and twisted in midfield, immediately signalling that he was in trouble, and the game was held up for several minutes before the midfielder was carried off with an ankle injury.
Stuart Gray said: “He went to tackle with his left foot and his right foot collapsed.
“He has gone off to hospital for a picture. We are not going to jump to conclusions, we will wait for the results of the X-ray.
“You know if Semi goes down then it’s serious because that’s his personality.”
