Wednesday are hoping to secure deals in the next 48 hours to keep the defensive pairing of Roger Johnson and Glenn Loovens at Hillsborough.
Johnson’s initial loan deal from Wolves is about to end while Loovens, who is not attached to another club, had a short-term arrangement with us under previous boss Dave Jones.
The centre back duo has worked well to date and Milan Mandaric says he hopes to be able to extend their stays at S6 in the coming days.
Stephen McPhail, who is not with another club, may well also be offered an extended deal but midfielder Seyi Olofinjana has left the club.
