Wednesday have strengthened the S6 coaching team with the appointment of Simon Ireland.
The newcomer to the backroom staff has headed up academy operations and first team coaching roles at QPR and Forest.
Midfielder Ireland played under skipper Darren Moore at Doncaster in the late nineties, their paths crossing again at Blackburn when Moore was first team coach and Ireland was working at the academy.
Ireland joins Jamie Smith, Neil Thompson and Adriano Basso in the Wednesday dugout, alongside boss Moore.
