Lee Bullen reflected on missed chances and a costly error at the back as Wednesday slipped to a single goal defeat at Millwall on Saturday afternoon.
The caretaker boss said: “I don’t think it was a bad performance … but we have made one mistake at a corner kick and they scored.
“Overall, performance-wise I don’t think you can ask much more of the players.”
Reflecting on Wednesday’s 21 shots, nine of them on target, Bullen said: “The over-riding thing is we never got that one real, real clear-cut opportunity … maybe our final ball could be slightly better and we can be a little bit more clinical … 21 shots, nine on target, you need to score from one of those.”
