Victory continues to elude the Owls after Ipswich stalemate

Ipswich Town

Wednesday were unable to gain their first vistory of the season against Ipswich Town at Hillsborough before heading into the International break.

Both sides scored within two minutes of each other early in the first half and were unable to capitalise on limited chances in the second.

Ipswich opened the scoring in the 12th minute through Paul Anderson only for Michail Antonio to level the scoreline shortly after.

The second half saw very few chances of note with Chris Kirkland making a couple of excellent saves and after coming on as a substitute, Jermaine Johnson fired a superb strike only to see it rebound off the crossbar.

The draw leaves Wednesday still without a win for the current season and their next game against Bolton at the Reebok on 19th October.
