Two-goal Lavery helps Owls bounce back with victory

Birmingham City

Two excellent strikes from Caolan Lavery paved the way for Wednesday’s emphatic 4-1 victory over Birmingham at Hillsborough today.

The youngster opened the scoring on 16 minutes and completed the win with a second on 68 minutes. In between time, Leon Best added a quickfire second in the 22nd minute and Birmingham defender Will Packwood put through his own goal 12 minutes after the break.

Birmingham pulled a goal back through Lee Novak 10 minutes from time but the Owls were well worth the success, which ended a run of two successive defeats and lifts us to 16th placeĀ … 13 points clear of the drop zone.
