Tough test at Hornets as Owls look to bounce back

Dave Jones has to decide whether to make changes for Tuesday’s trip to Watford after the disappointment of Saturday’s home defeat by Forest.

We were largely outplayed by Forest, particularly in the first half, as the seven-match unbeaten run came to an end and the reverse leaves us still only four points from the relegation zone, despite our recent upsurge in results.

Jones could consider reverting to playing a loan striker, bolstering the midfield with a recall for Keiran Lee or Rhys McCabe – or both – against a Watford side who have real ambitions of claiming an automatic promotion spot. Jose Semedo may also be given consideration, with both Giles Coke and David Prutton struggling to make their mark against Forest.

The Hornets go into the match knowing that victory might lift them into second place while an unlikely three points for the Owls could see us move up four places on a night which sees a full programe of Championship fixtures.
