Neil Thompson hailed the workrate of his Wednesday team after their battling 2-1 win at Bournemouth tonight.
The victory was a fourth league win out of five games under stand-in boss Thompson and he said afterwards: “This division and this schedule is relentless but I think you saw tonight the lads have put an absolute shift in, they have given everything.
“I keep saying work rate is free and when you put the work in you get the results out.
“I thought we just about edged that game tonight. We could have been out of sight in the first half, then we conceded a penalty, but we’ve come right back into it to get the winner.
“It’s a fantastic cross from Kadeem and Jordan is there to finish it off.”
