Darren Moore hailed the 6-0 demolition of Cambridge as a perfect day for the Wednesday players and fans.
Speaking after the comprehensive Hillsborough win, the Owls boss said: “Today was the perfect afternoon for us in front of our home fans. We performed well and got the right result.
“I thought we could have got more goals but I can’t complain.”
The win keeps up our push for a play-off place and Moore added: “If we keep performing in that manner, we will get the right results. That is the biggest thing for me. The boys have got to continue to build on top of this performance.
“The players were really good. The patterns of play we worked on during the week worked really well. The players had to bring their detail and quality on the ball and they did that.
