Wednesday confirmed our Championship survival with an outstanding 4-2 win at play-off chasing Bournemouth.
Atdhe Nuhiu fired us in front from the edge of the box on 16 minutes, Marc Pugh headed the Cherries level after 31 minutes but the Owls responded by retaking the lead within minutes through Sam Hutchinson.
Bournemouth’s early second-half pressure paid off when Yann Kermorgant levelled matters and Wednesday’s problems deepened soon afterwards when Hutchinson was sent off for a second yellow card.
However, the Owls responded in great fashion with Leon Best and Chtis Maguire netting in the dying minutes to clinch an unlikely three points.
