Frederico Venancio could make his Owls debut in Tuesday evening’s Carabao Cup second round tie at Bolton.
Central defender Venancio joined Wednesday last week on a season-long loan from Vitoria Setubal but failed to get FA clearance in time to be in the squad for Saturday’s win at Fulham.
Joe Wildsmith will replace Keiren Westwood in goal and Carlos Carvalhal is likely to make several other changes from the line-up at Fulham as he maximises use of his squad for the cup tie.
