Wednesday hope key striker Steven Fletcher will be fit to return to the squad for the Boxing Day match at Stoke.
Fletcher has been suffering from a sickness bug which sidelined him for Sunday’s 1-0 win over Bristol City and Garry Monk explained after the game: “Fletch has a bug, he has been laid up for a couple of days so we had to keep him away from the training ground. All being well, he’ll be back in time for Stoke.”
Sam Hutchinson will also be available again for the trip to the Potteries following his two-match ban.
