‘Let’s keep building after late equaliser’

Darren Moore is looking for Wednesday to build on last night’s late fightback at Cambridge when we take on Lincoln at Hillsborough on Saturday.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s 80th minute equaliser, his first goal in senior football, secured a 1-1 draw while Liam Palmer almost clinched an unlikely winner when his header was spectacularly saved by home keeper Mitov, and Moore said afterwards: “We’ve come from behind to get a point, it’s not something we have seen too often in recent times, so psychologically we can take something from that.

“We said at half time the longer the ball stays in play the more the pendulum will swing in our favour. That’s the way it went in the second half and Fizz scored a great goal.

“After that there was only going to be one winner and Liam’s header looked like it was going in at the end but it was a world-class save.

“That’s one defeat in six games and we will keep building, keep working.”
