Dave Jones says Wednesday are as good as any team in the Championship on their day as we prepare to go to Birmingham on Saturday … still looking for our first win of the season after six league games.
Speaking today, Jones said: “If we’re at our best then we are a match for anyone in this division, we just need that consistency.”
The Owls boss said that our four-game unbeaten run is a good base from which to build on, saying: “If you are not losing, then that’s a good habit. What we need to do is turn those draws into wins.”
He added: “We have a good squad of players here, we’re not firing on all cylinders as yet but it’s early days. We’re not that far away.”
Jones also said that he would be asking West Ham if we can extend the one-month loan arrangment we have with the Hammers for young defender Jordan Spence.
