Wednesday’s signing of ex-England defender Anthony Gardner on a free from Crystal Palace has reportedly hit a last-minute problem.
Dave Jones was set to make
Gardner, 31, his third summer signing – with the transfer completed over the bank holiday weekend – but it is thought there is a slight hitch at the other end of the deal which the Owls hope will be sorted in the coming days.
If he signs, then Gardner will join Chris Kirkland and Kieran Lee at S6 as Jones continues to strengthen the squad for the Championship.
