Sam Hutchinson is expected to come straight back into the Wednesday defence for Saturday’s visit of Nottingham Forest.
Hutchinson was suspended for the 2-1 defeat at Birmingham last Saturday but is likely to return to the heart of the back four, in place of Glenn Loovens.
Carlos Carvalhal also has to decide whether to make further changes following the last-minute reverse at St Andrews as Wednesday prepare for two home games in seven days – with a trip to struggling Blackburn sandwiched in between.
