Sam Hutchinson should be fit to return to action for Wednesday at Hull tonight.
The midfielder jarred his knee just before half time at Boro on Saturday and Garry Monk withdrew the player as a precautionary measure.
Monk, who said Hutchinson was keen to play on, says he is now likely to be ready to take a starting place this evening.
Skipper Tom Lees continues to progress after his hamstring problem and Monk will wait to see if the defender is ready to be involved again in the squad.
Wednesday go into the game having taken seven points out of nine under Monk and looking to make it three successive away wins in the Championship this season.
