George Hirst hit a hat-trick as England under-19s beat Poland 7-1 at St George’s Park on Friday.
Dad – and Wednesday legend, David – was there with other family members to see George hit his treble and the youngster tweeted afterwards: ‘No feeling like it! 3 lions on the shirt and taking the match ball home. Proud to have had my grandparents there today. Germany on Tuesday’.
George is expected to head up the under-19s’ attack again on Tuesday evening, when they take on Germany at Mansfield Town.
