Jeremy Helan is the latest Wednesday player to be sidelined for the start of the Championship season.
Helan is struggling with a torn muscle and Stuart Gray has confirmed he will be out for up to six weeks.
He joins Caolan Lavery on the casualty list, the young striker being sidelined for at least two months after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury at Doncaster.
