Jos Luhukay felt Wednesday’s work ethic saw us to the three points against 10-man Ipswich at Hillsborough on Saturday.
Speaking after the workmanlike 2-1 win, Luhukay said: “We did not play that well with the ball but when you have the effort that we showed that is a good compensation.
“We showed the passion side of our game today and the work ethic that I think helped us win the game.”
He added: “When you win two games in a week at home it is fantastic for the fans. It was a very difficult game, we had to keep fighting and at the end we are pleased with the result.
“We were limited on chances but we took our goals at important times, we had a good feeling from today. It is important for the confidence.
“We are very happy with Lucas, we know his qualities and he is very important for us. We were happy to have him back available today.”
