Gray: We should have taken all three points

Stuart Gray once again felt Wednesday could have had another three points – rather than just one – after a 1-1 draw at fellow strugglers Charlton.

Gray was disappointed we left Ewood Park with a goalless draw on Bocing Day and he had similar thoughts today as we looked the more dangerous side but again had to settle for a share of the points.

The caretaker manager said: “I’m sat here talking to the press about one point when it should have been three. We’ve seen more of the ball, had more of the game but we conceded a poor goal from our point of view.”

He added: “But credit to the players, they hit back straight away and we got the goal  we deserved on a pitch that was not conducive to passing football.

“They have absolutely worked their socks off and I feel for them not getting the win. I look at this game and I look at the Blackburn game and see two points when I could quite easily be looking at six.”
