Gardner: I’ll be out for at least six months

Anthony Gardner has confirmed he is expected to be out for at least six months following surgery on his ruptured achilles tendon.

That means we are unlikely to see the Owls skipper back in first team action until March at the earliest, following his injury at Middlesbrough last month.

Gardner tweeted tonight: “Surgery successfully completed on Monday. Specialist confirmed looking at six months minimum until back on the pitch. Thanks for all messages. UTO.”
