Wednesday are reported to be considering a bid to bring Richard Wood back to Hillsborough.
The central defender left S6 in November 2009 when he signed for Coventry.
He has failed to make a big impression at the Ricoh and suffered a serious knee injury in February.
Wood has a year of his contract left at Coventry and the Owls are rumoured to be interested in re-signing him.
